Dominican Republic Wants To Strengthen and Expand Agricultural Partnership with Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy of the Dominican Republic wants to strengthen and expand agricultural cooperation between his country and Cambodia.

On Friday morning, 24 March 2023, Dominican foreign minister Dr. Vince Henderson made a courtesy call to Prime Minister Hun Sen to discuss relevant issues.

During the meeting, Dr. Henderson expressed his intent to further deepen ties between the two countries through bilateral and multilateral frameworks, especially in strengthening and expanding cooperation in agriculture and fisheries.

Dr. Henderson also commended the Prime Minister for leading Cambodia in peace, stability and development.

Prime Minister Hun Sen welcomed the signing of a new visa agreement as a good start for collaboration between the two countries. He also expressed support for Dr. Henderson's desire to strengthen and expand their cooperation on agricultural operations.

The Prime Minister further requested that the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy examine the possibility of strengthening cooperation in other areas such as tourism.
